Boot Camp
STEP 1|REFRESHER - The first step provides an orientation, covering the Boot Camp approach, a Web-based EOC user and administrative functional refresher. Classroom training scenarios will focus on practical examples in preparation for the exercise and future real-world events.
STEP 2|PROCESS REVIEW - For the second step, a process review will be conducted, where current processes will be presented so participants will understand the current system configuration. Participants will discuss the configuration and suggest changes in preparation for the exercise.
STEP 3|FACILITATED UPDATES - The third step will focus on preparing the system for the exercise using the suggested system changes discussed during the Process Review step. System updates and testing will be conducted by the participants with support from the facilitator.
STEP 4|SUPPORTED EXERCISE - For the fourth step, an exercise will be conducted by either Crisis Systems or the Client. System support will be provided by the participants with coaching from the facilitators. The intent of the exercise is to build participant confidence in using the system, reinforce training principles and test new system updates.
STEP 5|FACILITATED UPDATES - The last step will focus on Web-based EOC After Action Report items and updates to the system. Items will be reviewed and discussed in terms of what feedback should be incorporated into the system configuration. System updates and testing will be conducted by the participants with support from the facilitators.
